We believe that media communications is an effective way to deliver an education that will develop our students’ skills in reading, writing and speaking in two languages.
Media offers an avenue for student expression and creativity as well as career opportunities for the under-represented minority students that we serve. Media can represent truth and bring about change in our society. We want our students to be part of that change.
Our goals are for the entering freshmen to do well on the SAT9 test, for graduates to meet the requirements for entrance to the University of California, and to be conversational in Spanish.
We want our graduates to have a thorough understanding of media and be proficient in print, radio, tv and web design. We also want our graduates to be proficient in Microsoft Office and desktop publishing software.
